“A great little mystery!
What made the experience of listening to Secrets in the Shoebox the most enjoyable?
The narrator & her ability to do so many voices. She spoke clearly & fluently – very smooth.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Abby is my favorite character. I liked her premonitions. I like her curiosity & that she liked to act on it. I also liked that she wouldn’t give up on Andy – her friend! Abby is a very smart little girl!

Have you listened to any of Caroline Miller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my 1st time to listen to Caroline Miller.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Parts of this story did make me laugh. When I listened to how kids think. When the boys scared the girls. How simple like is when you are a kid.

Any additional comments?
A very enjoyable mystery for the young and the young at heart. Being a full grown adult, I very much enjoyed this tale, but I like Disney cartoons too! I think many kids & tweens will really enjoy this story as they can relate to it.

Promising new author – Can’t wait for the next in series! “Enjoyable story set in the early sixties, and young readers will relate to Abby and her friends while incidentally learning what was going on in the world back then. Lots of action, suspense and danger. Characters are likeable and realistic, and Abby’s premonitions add just the right touch of spice.”

Fun Prequel To Abby Douglas Mysteries!
By 1-Click Junkie – September 28, 2016

Audiobook – Narration, Kim Bartunek, Really good. Kids voices are adorable, good pacing.
This is a cute kids story! Abby Douglas is a precocious 6 year old who is very curious. When aunt Margaret’s car goes missing from in front of cupcake parlor and Abby’s older brother comments about a mysterious barn on the property where Abby’s class happens to be going on a field trip, she just can’t resist investigating! This is sort of a prequel of sorts for the Abby Douglas Mystery Series giving a little background on the young Abby and how she got her start as a Jr. Sleuth!
Very cute, nice addition to the series and a fun audiobook! My grandkids loved it.
